Our Story
A library left behind, a language kept close.
Moving across the world means making hard choices about what to pack and what to leave behind. Clothes, spices, and photographs can easily squeeze into a suitcase. A beloved library cannot.
When we traded the shores of Kerala for the beautiful landscapes of Aotearoa, we carried our language safely in our hearts — but our shelves stood bare. We quickly felt the absence of the small, everyday comforts: the familiar weight of a new novel in our hands, the scent of freshly printed pages, and the quiet peace of getting lost in a story written in the language we dream in.
We are not a corporate warehouse. We are a small, family-run shop built on a single, heartfelt intention — that no Malayali in New Zealand should have to live without their mother tongue simply because an ocean lies between us and home.
Whether you came here to study, to build a career, to raise a family, or to begin an entirely new chapter, your bond with your roots matters. We believe that bond should be within reach for everyone in our community. So we hand-pick every title ourselves and keep our prices genuinely affordable — because reading the authors you love should never be a luxury.

ലോകത്തിന്റെ മറുകരയിലേക്ക് ചേക്കേറുമ്പോൾ എന്തെടുക്കണം, എന്ത് വിട്ടേക്കണം എന്നത് വിഷമം പിടിച്ച തീരുമാനങ്ങളാണ്. വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും മസാലയും ഫോട്ടോകളും പെട്ടിയിൽ എളുപ്പം ഒതുങ്ങും. പക്ഷേ, പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ഒരു പുസ്തകശേഖരം ഒതുങ്ങില്ല.
കേരളത്തിന്റെ തീരം വിട്ട് ന്യൂസിലൻഡിന്റെ മനോഹരഭൂമിയിലേക്ക് വന്നപ്പോൾ ഭാഷയെ നമ്മൾ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഭദ്രമായി കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പക്ഷേ നമ്മുടെ അലമാരകൾ ശൂന്യമായിത്തന്നെ കിടന്നു. ആ കൊച്ചു ദൈനംദിന സുഖങ്ങളുടെ കുറവ് നമ്മൾ പെട്ടെന്നറിഞ്ഞു — കയ്യിലൊരു പുതുപുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ പരിചിതമായ ഭാരം, പുതുതായി അച്ചടിച്ച താളുകളുടെ മണം, നമ്മൾ സ്വപ്നം കാണുന്ന അതേ ഭാഷയിലെഴുതിയ കഥയിൽ ലയിച്ചുചേരുന്ന ആ ശാന്തി.
നാടും നമ്മളും തമ്മിൽ ഒരു കടലകലമുണ്ട് എന്നതുകൊണ്ടുമാത്രം ന്യൂസിലൻഡിലെ ഒരു മലയാളിയും മാതൃഭാഷയില്ലാതെ കഴിയേണ്ടി വരരുത് എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ നടത്തുന്ന ഒരു ചെറിയ ഗ്രന്ഥപ്പുര ആണ്.
